Hello, everyone.
To continue our theme and our look at blogs and wikis, I want to share some ideas for using blogs and wikis for instructional purposes.
There are a variety of ways to use blogs and wikis for instructional purposes. Below is a partial list.
- Repositories for resources, links to web sites, etc.
- A journal or a place to post thoughts or ideas after reflection
- An electronic portfolio
- A journal or record of field experiences or student teaching
- A discussion board
Hello, everyone.
My last blog entry mentioned Wikispaces and how useful a tool it is.
Today, I would like to introduce you to my personal wiki on Wikispaces, The Resource Depot. This wiki is a repository of resources for educators.
To access the wiki, click on the Join link at the top of the page, and then create an account with Wikispaces if you do not have an account. If you have an account, just log in with your information after clicking on Join.
It is a work in progress, and I will be adding more resources.
From time to time, you will find resources or to be more accurate, links to resources for instruction in the classroom. Please feel free to post in the comments, resources that you have used and had success with. I will be posting my own resources and tools as well.
My first resource is related to wikis. Specifically, I would encourage you to try Wikispaces. This is a great tool for adding wikis to your curriculum for instruction, projects, and assignments. In addition to it's flexibility, Wikispaces is easy to use. Try it, and I think you will enjoy it.
The URL is: http://www.wikispaces.com/content/wiki.
Have you found another tool for wikis?
