Using Blog and Wikis

Hello, everyone.
To continue our theme and our look at blogs and wikis, I want to share some ideas for using blogs and wikis for instructional purposes.
There are a variety of ways to use blogs and wikis for instructional purposes.  Below is a partial list.
  • Repositories for resources, links to web sites, etc.
  • A journal or a place to post thoughts or ideas after reflection
  • An electronic portfolio
  • A  journal or record of field experiences or student teaching
  • A discussion board

Wikispaces Wiki

Hello, everyone.
My last blog entry mentioned Wikispaces and how useful a tool it is.
Today, I would like to introduce you to my personal wiki on Wikispaces, The Resource Depot.  This wiki is a repository of resources for educators.
To access the wiki, click on the Join link at the top of the page, and then create an account with Wikispaces if you do not have an account.  If you have an account, just log in with your information after clicking on Join.
It is a work in progress, and I will be adding more resources.
